Why is obedience so vital to blessing? Can someone who does not listen and continually disobeys be trusted? How is trust built up? Obedience! Truly honoring the instructor!
It’s like building an emotional credit score, although love doesn’t keep score, wisdom says that trust does keep score. It seems only natural to want to bless someone you can trust and respect. The opposite is also true. There is no motivation to bless someone that you can’t trust or respect.
Therefore, obedience builds trust and trust opens the door for a strong relationship.

How can I save anyone who does not trust me? If someone doesn’t trust me, they will not listen to my voice and then will not obey my voice. Have I not given you the ultimate reason to trust me? Was my life on the cross not enough? It was EVERYTHING! I gave it ALL. Didn’t I earn your love, trust and respect? If you do not trust me now, you won’t. The end is here. Make up your mind! Make a choice and stick to it without flopping back and forth.
I have so much I want to bless you with but I can’t until you obey me and my voice. Obey and you will be counted worthy of all the blessings to come.

It’s Called Grace
Well, I have been asking God to teach me about his kingdom and about His ways. The first lesson was about Grace. A cousin came into town to visit my sister as they worked on wedding plans.
As they were heading out, the car started running real bad. My sister called me for help. After some diagnostics, I found it to be the ignition control module. Now for a new problem. It was an expensive part and I knew for a fact that they could not afford that kind of repair.
So God told me to pay for the new part and extend grace to them. “Helping someone when they could not possibly help themselves... More so, paying that price for someone else that can’t ever pay the required price”.
OK. Grace extended... lesson learned!
But was this lesson completed?
Can Grace be planted as a seed?
Well... My wife and I were going to go get gas in my dad’s car. Sitting at the traffic light, the guy behind us thought it turned green and gave us a good jolt. Not seeing any damage, we shook hands and made our way.
After getting home, I found some damage. I’m not sure how this will all turn out but I had to report to dad about the accident. Obviously he was disappointed but seemed to understand. The question in thought is this...
Along with the lesson about grace, did God give me the opportunity to plant a seed of grace so that I was given grace from my father with his car? Are we extended grace and forgiveness based on how we have forgiven others and extended that grace to others? What about salvation itself? If we are holding unforgiveness for someone, how does that reflect when we are standing before the King of Kings and need His forgiveness?
I’m reminded of “The Lord’s Prayer”. “...forgive us of our transgresses as we have forgiven those who have transgressed against us.”
Thank you, God, for the gift of forgiveness in an unforgiving world.

The Quiet Before the Storm
On my way into work this morning, I pulled into the parking space and looked straight west. It has been raining and the clouds were still thick and dark. But in the clouds I saw a short rainbow. It was actually in two parts, one part was real small and right above the horizon and then a band of dark clouds covered the next section and the top was longer yet and slowly blended into the storm clouds above. The clouds were moving pretty quick because of the wind so it only lasted for about 15 seconds.
As I was looking at it, I felt God saying that he is going to be fairly quiet for now (small band of clouds). But the last little bit of the rainbow illustrates that the final trumpet is about to sound. As the last trumpet is sounding, the first harvest will take place.
If someone was to study the tradition of Jewish weddings and compare it to the role Jesus is fulfilling in the lifespan of people on earth, fall season(harvest) or the festival Rosh Hashanah will likely be the season of His return for His Bride.
We are told that no one knows the day or hour but to watch for the signs. As we get closer to that instant, he is continually revealing more details.
Are you ready? This could be the year!

Let’s Begin... again.
This is the third time I have tried to keep a journal. I guess I had better keep some notes in these times before the “Gathering”. This Gathering is what God is calling the “First Harvest”. Why take notes? Maybe they will help someone during the “Time of The End”.
Ok, let’s start with some background. My attitude growing up was pretty sad. In my house, we were preached to often and the bible was almost forced on us. While we were force-fed the bible, we were also disciplined/beat with anything that could be picked up and used as a paddle.
For this reason, I got out on my own wanting nothing to do with religion. From my perspective, these “People” only used the bible to justify the selfish things and fake “Love” that they called “Being a Christian”. I really hate “Fakeness”. Only after finding myself in a place where I absolutely needed grace and was starving for “The Truth”, did I start that search for absolute truth. I was sick of being lied to, sick of being deceived.
That decision to chase down the Absolute Truth led me directly to the cross of Jesus Christ. Only after this foundation is recognized can one truly build a life with meaning and with substance.
The posts that follow are meant to encourage you when faced with the evil that is now falling on this world.
Jesus Christ is absolutely the only Way, the only Truth and the only true Life!
